Isabelle Lillian Lagoo Colbeth

Died: Thursday, May 22, 2014
Age: 99
Lagoo Colbeth, Isabelle Lillian; passed away May 22, 2014 at age 99. Isabelle was born April 12, 1915 in White Lake, Michigan and later spent most of her adult life in Lake Orion. Isabelle was the beloved wife of the late David Lagoo and Bert Colbeth.

She was retired from the First Federal Bank of Oakland. She loved traveling, especially cruises, her trip to the Holy Land, and many other far away places.

In her later years you could find her playing cards or bingo with many good friends at the Orion and Oxford Senior Centers. Isabelle was a member of the First Methodist Church of Pontiac for many years and later became a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Lake Orion.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at 11am at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Lake Orion. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2-8pm at SPARKS-GRIFFIN FUNERAL HOME, Lake Orion. Donations may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Peggy Shepard Krug

Died: Tuesday, May 20, 2014
Age: 63
Peggy Shepard Krug of Fenton, formerly of Ortonville.

Peggy was born Aug. 30, 1950 to Robert and the late Mary Ann (nee: Wendl) Shepard. She is survived by her husband, Jim Krug; three children, Christine (Jamie) Fletcher, Anthony Martin and Angie (David) Fuqua; seven grandchildren, Nicole, Anthony, Megan, Anna Grace, Alaina, Jaiden and Roen; four great-grandchildren, D.J., Taj, Amir and Marshall; one brother, Tommy Shepard; and her devoted dog, Midgie.

Peggy retired from GM-Orion and was an avid gardener. A special hug from Peggy goes to Rosemary Woodward and Kum Sun Guy.

“Carry On!” A celebration of Peggy’s Life will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Coats Village Funeral Home, Ortonville. Interment will follow at Ortonville Cemetery. ROSS M. DEO

Died: Monday, May 19, 2014
DEO, ROSS M., of Clarkston, on May 17, 2014 surrounded by his family, He was 81. Loving husband of Doris Deo for 60 years. Caring father of Debbie (Larry) Shew, Patti (Steve) Hershey and David (Heidi) Deo. Devoted Papa of Jeremy, Nicholas, Chelsey, Ashley, Michael, Catherine, Edward, Kale, Tyler, Luke, Hunter, Krista and Sarah and great Papa to Ellyisa, Kayden, Cameron, Blake, Lexie, Dominik, Jack and Louis. Ross was a Korean War Veteran of the US Air Force. He had retired from Interstate Transport, where he was a member of the Teamsters. Ross adored spending family time especially with all of his grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, May 22, 2014, 11 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church, 5480 Dixie Hwy., Waterford. ROY H. KNOTTS

Age: 72
KNOTTS, ROY H. of Clarkston, formerly of Davison, age 72, died peacefully May 18, 2014 with his family by his side. Roy was a skilled tradesman, member of UAW Local 599, committee man for 15 years and retired from General Motors after 39 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era stationed in Fairbanks Alaska. He was a member of the Williams Lake Church of the Nazarene, were he enjoyed fellowship and many new friends. Roy treasured his hunting trips to the “80” with his son Tony, best friend Dick and his many adventures in Alaska and Washington with his daughters Lynn and Jill. The time he spent with his new extended family gave him great joy, many laughs and much love. Our tough “old man” with a tender heart will be more than missed. He is survived by his loving wife Paula Patterson and the late Gail Knotts; daughters Lynn (Mark) James, Jill (Ricardo) Rabago, Tony (Grace) Brooks, Jim (Debbie) Patterson, Kim (Paul Wywrot) Patterson and the late Amanda Brooks; dearest brother of Ann (Bob) VanCura; grandfather of 13 and great grandfather of 1. Also survived by many nieces and nephews; special friends Dick and Donna Mehrman among many others. Lloyd Edward Kollasch

Died: Saturday, May 17, 2014
Age: 84
Kollasch, Lloyd Edward; age 84, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away on May 17, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marianne Swath Kollasch, their two children Kristen Flaharty (Patrick Flaharty), and Stephen Kollasch (Andrea Jennings Kollasch) and his four granddaughters, Kathryn Flaharty, Lindsey Kollasch, Caroline Flaharty and Kendall Flaharty all of Fort Myers and Estero, Florida. He is also survived by his sister, Alice Lloyd of Las Vegas, Nevada and his brother Reverend Merle Kollasch of Iowa.

Lloyd was born on January 14, 1930 to Frank M. Kollasch and Genevieve M. Eisele in Kossuth County, Iowa. He was educated at Presentation Academy Catholic School in Whittemore, Iowa, graduating in 1948 and attended Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.

He was drafted into the US Army in 1951 and served in Korea, returning in 1953 to continue his education at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa earning a degree in Economics.

On June 20, 1959 he married Marianne Swath in Pueblo, Colorado. They lived in Des Moines for 13 years where their children were born.

Lloyd was an executive at Ford Motor Company for 33 years, first in Des Moines and then in the Detroit metropolitan area.

Lloyd and Marianne lived in Lake Orion, Michigan for 20 years and then retired to Fort Myers, Florida in 1989.

Lloyd was an avid golfer and achieved one of golf’s most thrilling accomplishments, a hole in one. Some of his happiest days were spent on the golf course at Fiddlesticks Country Club where he was a devoted starter for more than 15 years.

Lloyd was a sensitive and loving husband, father and grandfather; he was a true family man. He was always one to lend a helping hand to friends and neighbors.

A life-long Catholic, he led by example with his kindness, patience, integrity, work ethic and honesty apparent to all who knew him. Lloyd had a true love for sports and reading and spent quality time relaxing with both endeavors.

A memorial service was held at Saint John XXIII Catholic Church on May 27, 2014 at 10:30 in the morning. Donations may be made to Saint John XXIII Catholic Church (13060 Palomino Ln, Fort Myers, FL 33912) or to Hope Hospice (9470 HealthPark Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33908).
